From 1962 to 1993 the new Tahitian Terrace featured meals from the cuisine of the South Pacific and live shows featuring songs and dances from several Island cultures. The shows were performed by the Royal Tahitians several times daily, six days a week. A large Diseydendron Eximus "tree" provided a shady canopy for the performers and diners. There was also a large waterfall that "magically" parted to allow the performers access to the stage.
