What exactly are you working on?
We are building a scale model of Disneyland with Robert Olszewski’s Disneyland building and attraction pieces and our own modeling skills. Our plans include replacing many of the trees and making modifications to some of the buildings, for example we added the locker building to the Main Street Cinema piece. Why are you making changes to the Olszewski pieces, they are already beautiful?
While we appreciate Robert Olszewski’s work, we are hobbyists and modelers, so we enjoy making the pieces our own.
How did you get your website name?
The Anaheim Groves Improvement District is a spin off of the Reedy Creek Improvement District. The Reedy Creek Improvement District is the governing jurisdiction for the land owned by the Walt Disney Company in Orange and Osceola counties in Florida, home to Disney World and its’ related parks. The District was created by petition of its landowners(i.e. the Walt Disney Company) and signed into law in 1967 for the purpose of autonomy and independence in carrying out development plans for the land. The District was consequently exempt from zoning and land use laws, allowing Disney to build just about anything.
What is the Disneyland Main Street U.S.A. Collection?
The Disneyland Main Street U.S.A. Collection are resin cast models of buildings on Main Street U.S.A. at Disneyland in Anaheim, California. Accessories are also available including "N" scale figures of the Dapper Dans and Main Street vehicles.
The collection is similiar to a Christmas style village and a platform is offered at Olszewski Studios for those wishing to replicate Disneyland's Main Street U.S.A.
The buildings are highly detailed, hand painted, models with miniature lights for night time viewing. The buildings are in “Z” scale (1/220th) with doorways and windows enlarged for the accessories(figures and vehicles) which are in “N” scale (1/160th).
Are the pieces limited editions?
Each release in the Main Street U.S.A. Collection is considered open stock, but the first day of release pieces have a "Premiere" plaque and the pieces made for the first year have a "First Edition" plaque.
How are the pieces marked?
There is a trademark plaque under each piece which shows the Main Street U.S.A. Collection logo, the name, part number, and style mark. All pieces made in the first year of production also carry a "First Edition" mark. Pieces purchased on the day of release have a "Premiere" plaque enclosed with the piece.

What is the 50th Anniversary Commemorative Collection?
The 50th Anniversary Commemorative Collection consists of five attractions that were created in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Disneyland park. The pieces include the Mad Tea Party, the Jungle Cruise, the Astro Orbiter and the Mark Twain Riverboat. Each piece comes with a Commemorative logo (May 2005 through December 2006). After December 2006, commemorative logos will be replaced with logos from each corresponding land. In addition, due to the overwhelming popularity of the Haunted Mansion piece, it has been named an honorary “Commemorative Collection” sculpture.
Are any of the 50th Commemorative Collection sculptures part of the Main Street U.S.A. Collection?

If you own a Platform, you will need the Astro Orbiter piece to complete your layout.

Can the lights be changed in the pieces?
Yes, the lights can be changed. The LEDs have a life expectancy of 10,000 hours so it is very unlikely that they need to be changed. The small street lamps have a 1.3mm incandescent bulb and can be changed by following the steps below:
1) Remove the base by unscrewing the 3 or 4 mounted screws.
2) Remove any tape that may be covering the wire leading to the street lamp.
3) Gently pull the wires out from the street lamp from below. A small piece of foam should fall out(used to hold the bulb in place).
4) Clip the wires and take a new bulb and twist(or solder) each pair of wires together (keep the positive and negative wires apart using electrical tape).
5) Test the light and push the new bulb back up into the lamp post and tape the wires to keep the bulb in place.
6) Re-install the base.
